It is a great joy to pass Bible verses on to our grandchildren and watch them enjoy them. The first Bible verse that I can recall memorizing was 1 John 4:8. “God is love.” 1 John 4:8, “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” Every Sunday morning my Sunday School teachers had us recite this verse and then explained again why God loves us so much. Even to this day, I can still recall sitting in the preschool circle reciting that scripture.

Continue reading and reciting the verses at home to your grandchildren. Recite them while you tell stories to your grandchildren that are related to the verse, or when you read it in context.
