God created every human being with intrinsic value and worth. In creating us in His image, God gave us intrinsic value. It is in this way that He has created us. Genesis 1:27 it says, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” For that reason, every boy and girl is an image bearer of God. Being an image-bearer of God is to have special qualities that reflect and represent our creator. Out of all the things that were created, humans were the only ones created in God’s image.
