Be Strong Families is committed to promoting equity in all that we do. It’s part of our identity. We know that part of equity leadership is consciousness — the value of centering equity, the desire to lead equitably. A part of equity is fostering a culture where we are all included and conscious of our relationships with one another. Another part is embedded in policies. We included economic, political, and social equity in the workshop Parent Engagement Through a Lens of Equity. We can be proud when we look at our history, our values and our involvement in racial justice efforts.
